What is up this time??
For at least a month I have been getting Virtual Memory Low errors and within moments SL crashes and I have to do a complete reboot of my system. Many times this causes a check disk on entry to my desk top again. Of course this just makes my problem escalate where I can't log out period without crashing and I have to do a complete uninstall and re-install of sl again to be able to log properly again. [not enough memory to even log out as well]
I spend hours upon hours in SL [yeah, no life] and often I have to do a system reboot because of lagging issues and usually fine when I return. This past week I have had this error numerous times a day so its getting worse. [Low Memory] I thought it was just me and my system just is about to die but it isn't. I am finding many many others now having the same issue and its only been the last month that its started. I can tell just moments before getting is warning because textures begin to turn white. White, not grey as if it was rezzing.

sounds a lot like what i am seeing. I now can only be on for maybe 2 hours at a time before it crashes. my puter is only 6mo old and has plenty of free disk space. I even upped the virtual memory from auto controlled to 3gig fixed and no change. when i look at SL on my task manager it starts out at maybe 600 - 700mb but after playing for a while keeps going up to almost 2gig. and this is with graphisc set to low.

Upping disk space didn't matter. I still crash every couple of hours. If I totally reboot before I get the virtual memory full errors I am ok to go again. If this was just happening to me, I'd would say it's my pc and try to remedy something to my own hardware, BUT, its not just me its happening to a lot of other people too and only within the last month. So far we haven't been able to figure the common factor between each of us. I was hoping others were having the problem and fixed it or had it, and found a fix or knew what the problem is. When it happens I can't even log out to reboot, not enough memory to even log out and I end up with more problems. I have already corrupted my log out files a few times and had to delete sl and do a complete reinstall. Same also for the others.

With virtual memory it's best to set the "Initial size" and "Maximum size" to the same value. This improves performance a little. This also rules out low diskspace issues because the room taken up by the page file is fixed at all times. Sounds like you have a bad memory leak somewhere - worth digging around the JIRA website because plenty of others have experienced memory leaks in the past. Also worth listing as much info about your system/SL settings/version to see you have anything in common with others who experience this recently.
