Okay, first off, stop starting multiple threads. There's no tech support on Sundays. Linden Lab isn't a big company.
As for your problem, NBICD.DLL appears to be an S3 video driver... meaning that your video card is very old. What CPU, motherboard and video card do you have? How much RAM do you have? What version of Windows are you running? What version of DirectX and the S3 drivers are you running? Are they current? Edit: If you don't know your video card chipset, use this program to find out, then install the latest driver from this page. _____________________

From my googling, it looks like that DLL is part of the Open GL interface for your video card.
Lots of things will work without Open GL, but SL is not one of them. As I see Catherine has just mentioned, your card may not even be supported (I don't have a list handy of supported cards). You might want to post additional info about your setup (in this thread, since the other one doesn't have any details at all in it) and then at least the Lindens will have that information to work with tomorrow. There might even be a user who is familiar with that card. I'd hate to tell you to re-install the drivers for that card only to find out that SL doesn't support it anyway. Never can tell what other programs such an action would break. |

Never can tell what other programs such an action would break. Well, a driver update shouldn't break anything, but to be honest, I'm not that concerned anyway. ![]() _____________________

Then you want this file if you're using Win95, 98 or ME, or this file if you're using Win2000 or XP.
