I need to find an older version of the software to run on my computer I don't have the right graphics card to run the latest SL, so I followed this link: http://nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com/ which took me to another link where I downloaded and tried both version 1.19 and 1.18, but each time I tried to run the installation programs, I got an error that said the file was corrupted. That seems REALLY unlikely with two different files, but maybe. So, where can I download a trustworthy version of the older software to run with my computer?

You didn't say what the download link you used was, so it's quite possible people will give you links to the same place you had problems with. There a page in Second Life Wiki with a list of links for various versions of the SL viewer It would be a good idea to bookmark or add a favorite to this page in your browser. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Old_versions is the url. If you lose the url, you can go to the wiki, wiki.secondlife.com, and enter old versions as the search term and click Go and find your way from the resulting page. The regular viewer download links are at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Old_versions#ReleaseThe release candidate downloads are at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Old_versions#Release_CandidateYou might not have a bad url but rather some other problem causing the download to fail. In such a case, one easy thing to do is to try a different browser.
