Can not change e-mail address, keeps saying my password is not correct

Help!
I can not change my e-mail address, it keeps saying my password is not correct, however this is supposed to be the same password as my SL game and forum login correct? I can log in to the game just fine, as well as the account area on the web site, and forums, but it won't accept the password when changing my e-mail address.
