hey, you might not be happy to hear it, but i uninstalled your software last night, and i had a very near disasterous problem occur, which i thought id better share so you can prevent it in future....

So i'd installed Second life in program files- apparrently just in that folder, i didnt give it its own one... and once it had finished deleting the files it wanted to, it said something about there being other files that might have changed since the program was installed... something like that- would you like to delete them too? I said yes, and guess what? IT STARTED DELETING ALL OF MY PROGRAMS!!!!... i did an end process because it wouldnt let me cancel and lost alot of data for several of my programs..... and system restore wont help you there- if your lucky, a program repair will work... so i just thought id mention and i hope you update the uninstaller in future to only delete its OWN files... thanks

thats an odd one, is this PX xp or Vista? or is this a MAC. I install it as it chooses Programs>Second LIfe

it always makes its own folder for me I just let it do what it wants. never had that issu, there are other folders for SL though on PC XP they are hear C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data/SeconLife (you have to view hidden folders to see this one)

That sucks!
thank you for the info.....
I just installed on a new Vista laptop and I wonder if it put it there as well! will be checking and moving it if it did!

(I believe that SL writs to flash -- that should be an easy re install though have you tried right on top of the old flash? (it sounds like it got the uninstall files). don't know about 3dmax

Sorry to hear of this , and good luck

THANKS AGAIN FOR THIS TIP it needs to go into a Jira, seems very important
