It looks like it's shouting... Press Ctrl+\ to point the camera at it, use the mouse wheel to zoom in, then right-click and Mute it.

For a guy whose been out of it for a while you seem to attract more than your share of attention. Maybe you're just lucky =) Do what Day said.

You'd think that someone would actually change that script. Its getting pretty old. Then again the avatars still kranking it probably couldn't anyways.

:/ If it's not shouting, you're probably best off asking for Linden assistance. Unless you feel like figuring out slproxy or using a viewer that doesn't make it impossible to mute objects that spam you with IM's. I don't know of any such viewers that are publically available. Personally I use slproxy.

How long has this been spamming you?

You can make chat go to a window instead of just floating on your screen - it's one of the buttons down on the very lower left.

Doing that will prevent the screen from totally filling up.

AR a Linden from where you're standing if you're seeing text like this. It's Harassment, Chat spam, just explain that you can't find the source and include a screenshot that includes the onscreen text. I've seen this a few times and got prompt responses each time. (^_^)y

its strange because obviosly none of you have been having this, but wherever I go, Im getting it and other people in that world are complaining about it too.

Don't worry about if we see it or not... The fact that you see it and are forced to tolerate it is plenty grounds for you to send an AR. As long as it's still happening, follow my instructions above and you should get Linden G-Team assistance.

Another thing... Search your inventory for (Worn) and check how many attachments you have. One of them may be what's doing the chat spam. If that doesn't help.. I repeat.. go to Help >> Report Abuse and make sure you checkbox the "Include Screenshot" selection with a screen full of the cruddy text.

If your weary of ARing a Linden, I'll suggest my favorite... Socrates Linden ... He probably won't be the one to respond, but he's always the one I personally AR when I see a situation where I can't find the object or object owner's name to report the problem. Just for consistency, y'know? (^_^)y

.... And because he got on my case for that "Be my f*** buddy" shirt. (>_<

Right click on your avatar
In the pie menu, choose Take Off
In the pie menu, choose Detach All

I remember a sandbox i arrived at with that exact thing being shouted all over the screen.

Detach every attachment you are wearing, but one at a time, until it quits. Then you will know which one it is.
