?? Sound control on Screen?

Is this a new feature - having a play button and sound level bar on the bottom of the screen?
Why the heck do I have it on screen if I've muted the audio in the preferences?
Does one override the other?

regardless, the button and slider bug me.


I am not happy with this feature.

It's pretty new... it showed up back in June, when 1.4.0 was released. If you're on a parcel that supplies an audio stream, it'll pop up. You need to disable streaming audio in Preferences BEFORE muting it, otherwise it won't take. Weird, I know, but it's something they haven't gotten around to fixing yet.

I have all sound muted and I've never seen this until this past update.

It was on my parcel which has no music streaming.
I've been on other parcels which ask me and I say 'no' and I never get this silly slider thingy.
