I wonder if Linden labs is aware that, due to a script error on their website page, their BASIC TO PREMIUM acccount upgrade feature is currently BROKEN?

I'd report it but... ahem.. I'm basic... Basic's aren't allowed to report errors.
Even errors that are costing Linden's revenue...

Ironic, isn't it? :-D

Hi, Andrew, welcome to the forums. Actually, any SL resident can report errors via the public JIRA (bug tracking system). It is, however, a little hostile for anyone who's never used it before, having been designed (by an Aussie firm called Atlassian) for use by software engineers.

In any case, the good news is that this bug has already been reported, I think. Check out bug WEB-389.

You can see it at: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-389
"Unable to upgrade to premium account - clicking "Save Changes" goes to blank white page"

Residents can vote for bugs to be fixed that they care particularly about. I'll post a pointer to a quick explanation on how to do that.
:)

Quick instructions on how to vote for a JIRA isse:

Since JIRA can be a pain, simple 4-step instructions on voting are below.

***********************************************

1. The JIRA login page is at https://jira.secondlife.com/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fjira.secondlife.com%2F secure%2FDashboard.jspa Use your regular SL login.

2. If you know the bug number (like WEB-448) then enter it in the "Quick Search" field in the upper right of the JIRA screen.

3. When the bug description comes up, look on the panel on the left side of the screen for the section called "Operations" (probably the last section)

4. The last item in that section should be "Voting". A single click there will register your vote. The page will change to indicate that you now have voted for this bug.

ALL DONE! **************************************

The next time you log into Jira, you will see a set of links on the entry page like this:

"My Unresolved Reported Issues | Votes "

Click on the "Votes" part of the link and you will see the status of all issues you have voted for.

Also, whenever you're looking at a bug description, in the far left panel you will see a line titled "Votes". This is the number of people who have voted for the issue, and if you click "View" there you can see their names. So you can IM your friends who haven't yet voted to do so
