I Just purchased the components for my new Computer system. I am upgrading specifically to increase my graphics and overall performance in SL.

Here is the system I am building

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
2GB- DDR2 1033mhz Kingston Hyper Ram
Asus P5K Deluxe Motherboard
ATI HD3870 Graphics card
750 watt Power Supply
750G Sata2 HD
I have both XP and Vista

I have heard many conflicting opinions regarding ATI, Vista etc and SL, especially the Wind light Viewer. Does anyone have or use a system simiar to the specs above? What advice can you give me to get the most out of this system. I am thinking of Installing XP first with the latest drivers for XP installed

i have a problem where it dosent recognise my graphics card drivers at all, it says they are outdated or something. but they are the latest from ATI and it should be able to run sl, anyone else got this problem? i was wandering if Sl had a version that could read the new drivers or if there will be one out soon.

I would use xp because vista uses up tons of system resources and dosnt work any better than xp.

But what if the OP wants lots of extra and un-necessary DRM add-ons? HMMMMMM?

:D
