Ok well ive checked n researched everything i possibly could before i came here.. i am beggin for someone to point me in the right direction... When i joined SL i had an old Acer laptop with intel 945 intergrated graphics and altho my graphics took awhile to load and my fps was average 10 it was ok for me i didnt have the issues i am having now...

In September I got a Inspirion 1525 celeron with 965 intergrated graphics n 2 gigs memory.. when i log in my graphics load much faster n they are much better quality my fps stays between 15-20 and all around I was having a better SL experience but a few weeks ago after about 10 minutes online my fps drops down below 1 and my ping sim shoots up to 4000-10000 with no packet loss...i dont totally freeze up and crash its just really really bad lag...the only ONLY way to get outta it is to transport to another destination then i am fine for another 10-15 minutes before the same thing happens so as long as i keep jumping around i am fine but i cannot go back to any of the places i had the lag in until i log out and log back in its like the lag remembers me being there...

Ive read the "hack" for intel graphics cards but i dont believe that is necessary because in world under advanced settings object occlusion is greyed out so i believe that means its not on anyway...

Ive updated my drivers ive tweaked all the settings in the game ... last nite i even upgraded my router from a cheap netgear to the new linksys N ultra range plus and i bought the N ultra range usb adapter for my laptop since changing those things the game loads quicker and i got a few more fps but thats it...

i keep my statictics bar open to see whats going on when im in world and same thing no matter how busy or empty the area i am in ping sim goes crazy n fps drops to almost 0

so if anyone can give me ANY tips on what i can try i would appreciate it

wish i could help more thats a real odd one...

it seems like it would be a network issue and I thought I read something similar to this with a fix by setting the port to 80000 or something in pref.. but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

I have exactly the same problem with my Lenovo system (Win XP) with the same intel 965.
I have tried everything possible, even the "intel Hack", but without success.
The Lag Meter shows the client going slow first, then the network... then, it's getting slower and slower (typing 1 character each 20 secs....).

I've read a lot of forums and found some others with the same problems but never found the right solution.
It's not due to heat, nor wireless (tried both)...

Please, some help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
