cant get started..

Im new to SL and ive just created my first account and installed the client but when attempt to start up it crashes and doesnt tell me why, it just takes me to the crash logger.
Im desperate to get started but cant figure out whats wrong, any suggestions??

Please post your computer system information, and what version of SL viewer you installed. Without this information you will get only "guesses".
