I found what I think is a bug. And I know I should probably go to the "JIRA" instead but who can figure out how to navigate that things?

Ok, so I was testing this "unsitter" I'm making. Basically I say "unsit.self" and it makes me stand up. (The object is attached to me, by the way) And it seemed to be working for, expect for when I sat in certain places. And I could figure out why it stopped working on in those certain places. Then (I think) I figured it out. I was sitting on a megaprim. A megaprim larger than 20 meters, which is the normal chat distance. So then I tried shouting "unsit.self", and it worked. So it seems like sitting on a megaprim somehow makes it so you're...I don't know, too far away from yourself for your attachments to hear what you say? Anyone else experienced this?

That's correct. Right now, if you sit on an object, your attachments will listen from the center of the root prim of whatever you are sitting on. But your attachments will still send their llDialog chat from your avatar's position, so things like HUDs tend to break when you sit on large objects.

There are more quirks with link sets and listeners, both with and without attachments and sitting involved. I put a nice long boring description of the current quirks/bugs here:
