Unwanted Text Floating in Air Not Associated with a Prim

I have some text floating in the air inside my SL house. The text is not associated with a prim and is not part of any existing script. The text use to be associated with some curtains in the house window but the curtains have been gone for months. I cannot click on or manipulate the text in any way.

The text says, "2 sets of drapes(pictured)". Of course, there are no drapes. The text may have been part of a texture showing the drapes, many months ago.

So, how do I get rid of this unwanted ghost text?

This sounds like the box the curtains came in. You probably took it back into inventory, or deleted it, but it remained (or came back later) as a ghost prim. I've never heard of ghost hover text associated with the very common ghost prim problem, but that's probably what it is.

A re-start of the sim fixes the ghost prim problem.
