I have Windows 7 and enough memory to run SL. It will load then say detecting hardware and never show up. Any help on how i can fix this?

Maybe try adding -noprobe to the shortcut target?

What does the rest of your system look like? Specifically the graphics adapter.

Which version of Windows 7 are you running? Have you run Windows Update to make sure Windows is up to date?

At this point Win 7 is not very clever about getting the newest drivers for your video, sound, etc.. and typically it loads Microsoft drivers. I would go to the manufacturer of your video card and look for the newest driver available for Windows 7 and download it. Do this also for your sound card too.
