Drop in Sim FPS ??

Recentlly I noticed that the Sim FPS rate in Cortina has dropped drastically. When I first moved here the FPS was very high (above 1000). Today, with only 3 people in the sim, it was down below 300. There are very few residents of Cortina. The only stores in Cortina are owned by me (one vendor in each of two stores). There is one club that is relatively empty. I own over 20k m2 in the sim and do not have many lag causing things on my property. I roamed all over the sim looking for scripts updating and did not find a large number of them. I don't know what else to try or how to check to see what is causing the low FPS. The sim does not fell "laggy" but I am worried that if the numbers don't get better the sim will start to exhibit lag.

If anyone has any suggestions or toubleshooting tips I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

It's not broken. Don't worry about it.

I did notice today that the Run Tasks item in the Alt 1 statistic bar seems rather high in Cortina. It is around 2.5ms, which is higher than some areas like Kitzbuhel where there is a large market and many more buildings. Not sure what that means, but thought I would post it here in case anyone knows if it is significant and what might be causing it.

Thanks again.

There must be some pool of scripts somewhere trying to do something... it could be something so high that you can't even get to it without knowing about it, too.

So, I have similar issue on JAVA.

Problem is there is no way to find a run away script, or what drains most of the juice!

Anyone have any ideas on how best to manage performance?

Very True

I have been driving myself crazy looking through all my things for runaway scripts. Turned off all my lisetning devices ... and am pretty sure it is nothing I own that is causing the drain. Unfortuately, I can't check all my neighboors things. And as far as I know there is no mechanisim for tracking down these types of things. I have heard nothing from any Lindens yet and have even filed a bug report. I hope they can and will do something about this. Would be nice to know that all the money I pay each month will get me some customer service.

Yes, It's the biggest problem in SL.

Performance is dropping like crazy, and the problem is there is no way to tack the problems.

It's the old 80/20 rule. What are the 20% offenders that I can delete to improve performance.

But no tools exist to find them.

It's like walking in the dark! Turn on the lights Lindens!

This is gettiing ridiclous now. There are two people in Cortina and the numbers are horrible. The lag is horrible. Takes minutes for anything to rez. Someone needs to do something about this. And yes ... I know I am ranting. But to pay a good deal of money and then to not even be able to enjoy the game is starting to annoy me just a little bit.

Sorry for the latest ramblings ... :)
