I'm behind a router and when I log in to second life all the sim stats and everything is fine, no packet loss, yet, everything takes a million years to download or even load at all (inventory, avatars, my avatar's clothes...). I also have cable at 3 MBS. The bandwidth meter will constantly go from "green" to "red" at a rate of about every 1.5 seconds. I'm also from new mexico.
Are there any ports I can open or anything I can possibly do to get this thing to work!?!!?

Are there any ports I can open or anything I can possibly do to get this thing to work!?!!? Opening ports won't help - don't do that. In Preferences, under the Network tab, what's your bandwidth set to? Maybe try turning that up, if it's not already maxed out. |

Well, I still can't figure out the problem and no one helps in-game or in the forum so, I officially give up on SL. Thanks to all the people that tried to help.
