First time poster so sorry if this is in the wrong place

.....I know there are alot of treads about ATI Graphics cards not running SL but i couldnt find any about the 9800 series. So i'm sorry if im repeating a problem thats already been covered.

I recently bought a ATI Radeon 9800 graphics card and it seemed to work fine on my PC. a few weeks ago i updated my PC and installed the same (new) graphics card in it. And now sl wont load (due to 'outdated' graphics drivers) I have installed the latest drivers from the ATI website and it still wont work.

Ive done everything ive seen suggested, even trying Snowglobe Viewer.

Again im sorry if this has already been covered, but this is my last chance.

System information couldn't hurt. Perhaps info on both the old system that worked and the new system that doesn't.

Make and model of computer, or if it's homemade or extensively modified, what motherboard.
Operating system and service pack level.
Amount of ram.
Other such stuff.
What version of SL.
What version video driver worked, and what version doesn't.

It's not beyond belief that the latest, most recent video driver won't work but that an earlier one will.

Try the Catalyst 8.12 drivers instead of the latest drivers. ATI has stopped developing new drivers for older graphics adapters, and the latest ones may not work properly.

On the page to download the drivers from ATI, there's a link to previous drivers and software that'll take you to the older drivers.

We need computer specs, and and sometimes the newest graphics drivers are not the best solution. I know I'm running an older customized driver for my nvidia and have no problems with SL graphically or performance wise.
