One occasions, I find that certain textures cause the display to change to what I see as a green checkerboard effect. This usually is on rock or wall object that have granite or similar textures applied. It is not all the time, and can come and go. Other objects are fine. I have screen shots to those that are interested.

I have a pretty good card in an ATI Radeon 9600 256mb and do not even use the higher display settings such as bump mapping and max detail. The cpu is a pretty high spec (2.4 mhz) and 1 Gb of Ram.

The ATI drivers are the latest available for XP Pro. Does anyone have a clue why this is and if so, is there a setting(s) that might cure this. It does seem that the type of texture detail is affecting it. Is there any setting on the Card software that is worth looking at?

Any comments would be useful

Thanks.. Scorpio.
