Hi, I'm getting glitches in secondlife. Such bad ones i am unable to play the game. I tried downloading new videocard drivers, old videocard drivers. New secondlife client. Old client. Even the new release beta, they all have the same problems. The problems are a variety of things, sometimes all avatars turn into white "clouds". I even had they turned into sort of spheres with beams coming out of them. Sometimes everything stays Grey. And sometimes everyone is blank, or just some body parts are visible/attachments. And mostly, after a while the typing box were sentences show up disappears, i cant type anymore and the screen freezes. Please help because i have no clue whats going on and I'm running out of options. Setup: K9AGM3 Motherboard with newest drivers. 2 GB DDRII ram 8800GT with newest drivers from Nvidea.com. 200GB harddisk. G15 typingboard newest secondlife client with updates Beta secondlife (release candidate) Pictures of the glitches: http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/1545/69512679lk7.jpghttp://img241.imageshack.us/img241/1867/11ks2.jpghttp://img112.imageshack.us/img112/1319/12zi9.jpghttp://img143.imageshack.us/img143/4671/13xo4.jpghttp://img148.imageshack.us/img148/5840/glitchslhn1.jpghttp://img398.imageshack.us/img398/5673/slglitchingin9.jpg

The white clouds are not a glitch...this is the new appearance of an avatar whose textures have not yet downloaded to your client. It replaces the old "Ruth" default female avatar.
The other ones I can't help with. Your system seems more than adequate, so I would check for: - programs running in the background - internet service provider bandwidth performance - especially if you are running Windows Vista, look for a website offering suggestions to "tweak Windows performance". Follow some of the suggestions you'll find there to reduce unnecessary clutter and help your system run better.
You could turn down your graphics settings in the Edit/Preferences/Graphics tab to reduce the load and see if that helps

Hm ok. But Ive got a 20Mbit connection so that's not the problem. And programs running on the background also shouldn't be the problem. Im running Windows XP SP2. Maybe its an connection Issue because you are telling the white clouds are the appearance of the avatar witch textures haven't got downloaded.
Ill play a bit with my connection. If that isn't working then i have absolutely no clue what to do.

Your connection was the first thing that came to mind when you mentioned the cloud avs and the gray textures.
Are you using a wireless connection from your computer to your router? I've had a horrible time using wireless in my home that caused all sorts of SL problems. They all cleared up as soon as I switched to a standard cabled connection.
