ATI dosen't work on SL? |

if I am reading the forums right I spend over 250$ just for SL not to be compatible with ATI only Nvidia What the fuck WHY? By the way I have a radeon hd 4870

ATI does work, I have a 4670 and it works fine. It is only that ATI have never been great with their Open GL implementation.
Try Boylane's Cool Viewer with a fix for ATI cards in http://my.opera.com/boylane/blog/ as it makes a big improvement to the frame rates you get from ATI cards. |

You should report that on my blog, I can only guess if things work and what not as I run blind without an ATI card but Nvidia  . But I'm happy it worked for you._____________________

client goes to initializing multimedia than crash I have no idea what to do been reinstalling and posting tickets about this and no replies from anyone with a brain or corporate sorry for being so damn angry but this is something that should have not occurred

Ok Lonely, install first the SL viewer, then install the Cool Viewer on top of it. Go to C:\Program Files\SecondLife and start it with "Cool Viewer.lnk" shortcut, not the Secondlife one.

You need to install the Secondlife viewer first, then install Cool Viewer over it and replace all files.
Do you use Vista? Then the directory is different too. _____________________

nothing is fixing the problem I give up all the client is doing is crashing half way through thank a lot LindenLabs for the worst update EVER
