Textures are Warping

Recently ive been having a very odd problem in Second Life. Sometimes, some of the textures on my screen seem to stretch and warp like they are trying to converge at a single point on my screen. See the picture below to see what i mean:

This seems to happen at random sometimes but most often it happens whenever I rotate the camera around an object or just around my avatar. It usually happens several times to me daily and its become such an announces that Im almost ready to go through the trouble to submit an official bug report but I wanted to ask the people on the forums first. Ive asked some friends in the grid and no one I have talked to has reported having this problem.

If anyone here thinks they might know what the problem is and how to fix it please please let me know. Thank you in advance.

I used to get that odd result when my last card got too hot, nvidia 8800. It eventually died, but its twin replacement has yet to do it. =)

I also run without hardware skinning now as that option seems to tax my system without adding much detail.

:odd fact: hardware skinning must be active to use the shadow-draft viewers...

Update: ATI 9800 Pro

When you get the wierd artifacts, open your preference and graphics tab (I didnt test if other tabs and there settings will work) and it doesnt matter what you click, just click a check box and they will disapper. You dont even have to apply, just minimize the preference window and everytime it does it, just open and click the same check box if you want to and there they go again, away they go.

Real pain in the freakin a@#.

Maybe sometime in the future they would fix it. This has happened in previous windlight version and i always reverted back to old version before windlight. Now im forced to use windlight and the problem still exists. Mine seems to do it about every 2 mins of movement, which means im not going to play like this and will quit playing sl.

Everyone with this problem needs to send in tickets and bring this to there attention, which im sure there quit aware of it, becuase it has existed since first version of windlight.

That is an old bug that has been fixed, not fixed, rinse wash and repeat, ever since Windlight was in the Firstlook stages. I am dismayed that people still see it. I swapped a nice ATI 512MB card for an Nvidia card to get rid of it. I am also supprised that Nvidia users are also seeing it now. I forget the Jira # for it too. The original solution was to turn off OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects, but then the frame rate was awful!

Wow thanks if that method works then it could save me a lot of trouble logging on and off the fix the problem.
