I haven't crashed at all. On the contrary.

When I exit after 2-8 hrs, I get an odd error message: Bad_Mem_Pointer.

Not sure WTF it means.

Its no big deal as it only appears when I leave SL. Just wondering who else has seen this.

My theory is, it has to do with the RAM releasing what it has stored in it.

Yes, I had this message last night after exiting the new 1.20 RC5 Client. First time I've ever seen it. I also noticed the title of the window said something about SmartHeap. I have seen a lot of threads started about Smartheap errors, perhaps this is related.

Probably a client bug. I don't do SL Beta's, but you should probably follow the LL procedure for reporting bugs.

Pointers are used to point to specific locations in memory. Apparently SL is issuing a bad pointer as it goes through its shut down motions.
