For about 3 weeks I have been playing 5 days a week for 6 hours each day at the gambling machines at "the mile" casino and have never won a single spin. What are our rights and how can we sort these sorts of problems out. thanks

I have been playing at the same casino for some time and have never won on a spin and have never seen anyone win either! You only have to look at the slot machines reels to see that none of them ever have matching symbols!

What are our rights and how can we sort these sorts of problems out. thanks That is a rather extreme amount of time to spend on gambling if you've "never won a single spin", isn't it? In any case, you don't have any rights or any recourse, to my knowledge. In most cases LL will not step in, and I think that is especially true with regards to gambling. [Edit] Though it seems pretty obvious, I feel compelled to point out that you at the very least have the right to not throw money away for 90 hours without a single payback. If you really *must* gamble for 5 hours a day, it might be well worth your time to find a new location Surely there is at least one location somewhere in Second Life that is not so obviously a ripoff? And (I'm not being sarcastic in this part) you really might want to consider seeking some help for gambling, as that kind of demonstrated compulsion cannot be healthy for you or your paycheck. .

Oh Robbie, don't be so judgemental. Tis obvious i'm camping and playing only every now and then. The thing is; if I complain I will get thrown out, that is why I wanted to know of any recourse actions.

If you are sitting in a camping chair in a casino in front of a slot machine you will never win on the slot. You are getting whatever the amount the camping chair pays per 10 or 15 minutes (however the chair is set to pay). The owner has that slot in front of you to get some of that money he's paying you back. You could use your camera and play a machine not tied to the camping chair.........you might have a little better luck. Hahahahahha..............I fell for that myself when I was new.

We all need to earn lindens..............lindens make the world go round. Good luck and get off the chair once in a while and go explore.........meet people. Have fun.

I have to ask... do you actually do anything in secondlife other than idle, collect camping money and then give it back to the person that gave it to you? (I hope you do SOMETHING else, that doesn't sound very fun! )

You have no rights, and no recourse. Really after about 15 minutes you should have known something was up, but 90 hours? Wow. Remember, a penny saved is a penny earned I think if that holds true you could have earned a lot by now.

In either case, you go to your local authorities. This is like the three-card monte player on the street corner. Your local police might be interested. Or, probably not.Your second choice would be the authorities of the place where the servers are located, which in this case is San Francisco and Dallas, Texas. Again, it is your problem how to get them interested. Another choice is to start a protest in SL, and march around the casino carrying a sign

Anyone who really thinks they can become rich or 'earn a living' from gambling, especially in SL.. should really only asking THEMSELVES.... what am I doing wrong? When I started in SL some years ago, I couldn't be bothered to start a business or work for anyone.. I wanted to socialise.. but I found out that I could do both... I played Tringo, Slingo, every L$ I earnt I carefully bought clothing and accessories and entered ' Best in black, red, blue, wings etc) events.... some I won, the more I made, the better my wardrobe became... investments paid off.. and the biggest gain/investment?... I made lots of friends.... I don't do eventing anymore (hears the applause of those other eventers).. I turnned my winnings into a SL business and now have 4. The best part... I still have all my friends..
