Some time ago, I noticed the secondlife.log file under my logs folder was growing at a rate of about 16k/sec. I noticed this after several hours of having been on with the music playing on my sim.

Eventually, I flipped on the Error Log (CTL+SHIFT+4) and found it in a runaway error condition endlessly repeating the message:

WARNING: LLAudioChannelFMOD: update3dPosition error: An invalid parameter was passed to this function.

That explained the log file, as when I simply turned off the music, the error condition stopped.

I tried a number of things to eliminate and/or isolate the problem:

1) Removed the SlipStream music controller
2) Changed the stream to a number of different sources
3) Went to other sims and found no such condition
4) Tested the same streams in other properties on other sims

None of the above mitigated the runaway error condition.

My only sure workaround was to listen to music thru WinAmp, which sort of defeats the purpose of sim music.

I suppose I could live with a large log, but after several hours this file approaches 75mb in size and that seems a little counterproductive.

Maybe it's just something simple I am missing.

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Cheers,
