I have a strange problem where avatar heads (only the heads) turn weird colors at short distances.
If they are within 6-10ft all is fine but even a couple pixels farther an wham.. weirdness.
I have adjusted my draw distance out to 288 to no avail.
I am running a Radeon 9800 Pro and have updated DX to 9.0c and to the newest Catalyst drivers in an attempt to fix it but all for naught.
I have also deleted the SL cache as I saw recommended in another thread but still no good.
Might anyone have some further suggestions?

First question? do you have any windows open behind SL. This is just a ponderance, as I've had similar problem. Usualy when I'm in sl, i have a couple of other items open. often i'll run in to artifacts in the graphics when i do have windows up behind sl. The color or artifacts i see are usualy a duplicate of some textuer that was on the screen in front of my avi. Some how it picks it up, other people see it too. close any other programs and see if you still have this problem.

OMG now I'm getting the weird head thing too!
I was at this club tonight and people's heads were red and brown and even completely black at short distances along with all these red and green patches all over the walls, floors and me! Others can even see the weird patches on my face!
Somebody help us!!
