Music Skips

I've had this problem for a while. Certain stations kinda skip for me, kinda like playing a record on a tuntable and jumping on the floor. It's about every few seconds or so, very annoying. Nobody else on the sim has this issue. I checked other sims with the same station and same thing happens. There are other computers running off my same router but they play just fine. I tried updating my GC driver and playing with sl settings but it's still there.

Any insight would be great

This is a symptom of bandwidth issues for that particular computer, or your computer has so many processes going on that it is forced to drop frames in the music stream, or the other computers on your network are starving your computer of needed bandwidth.

1. Shut down any unnecessary programs or processes you may have running;
2. Investigate possible connectivity issues with your router - either bad ethernet cable if connected by wire, or low wifi signal if connected wirelessly.
3. Consider tuning to a lower-bitrate stream, or lower the bandwidth allocated to SL in your viewer preferences.
4. If the other computers on your network are clobbering your internet connection, then you are simply going to have to deal with the skips in your music.
