Many 1.19.0 (5) Errors and bugs

Since version 1.19.0 (5) these issues have become a major problem.

1: Group chat crashes and claims it can not open when it has already been initiated. And it does not allow me to initiate group chat at all if I try to open it myself.

2: Client status set to (Not Responding) if another application is used.

3: Crashing 3 out of 4 attempts of using a LM or TP of any kind. This often brings up the "Continue or Quit"option box. Reloging twice is often nessesary to clear the problem. Once to unlog my avatar and appaer in a 'squat' position and unable to move, and a second log to refresh those issues so I am able to move.

4: Crash Log does not activate after crashing unless by graphic or video card related issues.

1. Do not land at home when logging into home.
2. Cannot TP, or bring up maps
3. Cannot save a notecard
4....and....?

...and even though there are 58,000 avis shown in SL, I can no longer log in. (perhaps the 58,000 are those who did not upgrade to 1.19.0.(5) ??? Something bad is happening on the grid....Hodgey shudders

I'd love to be able to edit my preferences before I log in especially which location i prefer to log in at. I was in a wedding and crashed and had to come from home and sneak back into my position

Edit --> preferences at the top of the screen.

Then you can enable "show start location"

Also can not 'Shift copy' objects.
It seems after changing the size or some other data on a prim then attepting to shift drag a copy of it simply failes and the prim only moves.
Doesn't seem to be lag related because if I create a new prim, then try the same process, it works fine. Then going back to the prim I tried to copy will finally trigger a copy after attempting it once again.

Patchouli- you can still edit preference at the login screen, they moved it to the Edit Menu at the top. Or you can use the shortcut CTRL-P.

I'm having similar issues as well with teleports failing or kicking me out. group IMs failing, group notices failing, severe lag when trying to Create New Notice(we're frames per minute here!) and Pay Avatar was not working.

Also a few more things to note: could not rez, attach, take, or delete objects. but hey how about that gorgeous new UI!!!!!! o.O

Have not tried using other viewers like Drizzle or WindBright yet to confirm if these issues are related to 1.19.0.5.

TP not working and when it does you have attachments in the wrong places and/or appear as Ruth.
On the whole this is the same as it was a year ago when I started in SL.
However I must admit the group chats failing in a new one on me, so well done Linden Labs there's never a dull moment in SL.

Does anyone (and that includes the Lindens so don't be shy) know if rolling back to the previous viewer will fix the problems or it is a problem with SL ?

Glad to see I'm not the only one. For 24 hours I have been struggling. Trying to log in and getting the "check your clock" error or the dns error. Once I do finally get in after several attempts and a few crashes I am not able to TP anywhere. My groups don't show and my friends list is usually not showing names. I've uninstalled...reinstalled....I've done it all and nothing is helping so far.

Any news on the friends list showing as "waiting" yet?

Greetings: I downloaded the new veiwer because they made me at the login window...( first the 1.19.0 (4) and the nextime Ilogged in it said to download 1.19.0 (5). Now I can't logg in ...over the last 3 days since downloading...it has taken up to... or more than 3 hours...says reset clock...can't verify host...something unexpected happened... It tells me to report. won't let me into the blog to report... the blog page says expied over and over..sighs... and today it won't let me do anything. and when I try to log in to the blog for support...it say accsess denied. What is going on please? I was advised to uninstall everything and download new. If Ican't get into the hme page of sl then how can I do that?..and If I did uninstall would I lose me av and alll my stuff?. And how would I downlaod sl again without making a new account and av?.....PLEASE....HELP...ME...SOMEBODY!!!. I have crashed more in the past 36 hours with the new client(s) than I did the past few weeks all together with the previous version.

Did Microsoft program the new client? It *REALLY* sucks. Maybe some Vista code was included? Seems so.

LL, hire new programmers...your present ones are clearly not up to snuff. With this new client, they just lowered user satisfaction with SL by at least 50%.

First, you will not lose all of your inventory by reinstalling. Second, check the bottom of the SL web site page for the Download link. You can download a new client without creating a new account. After installation, just enter your login info and you're done.

All that said, best of luck with this god-awful new client. It should be called "Crash Life."

omg, this is the worst I've seen it in ages, constant lag, transactions never going through, constant crashes/hangs, crash outs during TP's......why is it Entropia doesn't have these problems, and looks great to boot?

I agree with the lasts posts in some way. Lag is freaking horrible up to stall e. g. Instead of making it more shiny at the edges, it would have been better to make the thing more fast and stable. But yeah hell i know... the more features and shiny look the better.

Hello, My name is Autumn Serevi in the game and I constantly am having shinners in the new update I took a picture it also is showing ppl completely invisable to me like they are robots or something. I can't seem to get it to go away I have reinstalled SL 6 times I have cleared my Cache but nothing is making it go away. I feel like quitting SL at this point because it is so bad i cant even see the freaking screen really. What do i do and how do i make it go away. I have a picture if you want to see what I am talking about.
