A friend of mine used the snapshot to hd option for the first time and a weird thing happened: instead of bmp, which should be the default format according to the knowledge base and my experience, SL saved the snapshots as j2c files. Does anyone have an idea how this could have happened and / or how to change this behaviour? Thanks

Did he enable "Compress Snapshots to Disk" in the Advanced menu?
Because by default SL uses bitmaps.
