Ok guys, this is weird. At some point today I was unable to right click and object, choose edit and see the creator, the owner, the prims, etc. I can only do this on objects I own. I had a friend stand right next to me and right click the same objects I was and she saw all the information that I am missing.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

try unchecking 'select only my objects' .. in tools drop down menu .. that could be the problem

That wasn't it but Select Only Movable Objects was checked and that was the problem, so thank you thank you thank you!
