Anyone else come across items that have public decayed to 99% and then just sit there...for DAYS?!?
Back on Friday after the post about recent land reclaimation, I did a run through some of those sims for items to clear up. I came across a few items that had decayed to public to 99%. One of them had only decayed 6%. I asked a Linden how long public decay took and got a response back that it was done over 3 days. So in theory if something was at 99%, then surely by the next day it should be ripe for the picking.
But nooooo...On Saturday, the items were at 99% still, and the odd item was at roughly 37%. Sunday, the items were STILL at 99% with the one odd item at 62%. Today, those items were STILL there with their 99% decay, flaunting it at me--tormetning me with that neener neener neener old, decaying furniture look that only abandoned but not forgotton furniture can have. Yet it's still unclaimable. The odd piece was near the 99% mark, but still taunting me along with it's long overdue yet still lingering bretheren.
On each day, I pinged a Linden to report it, and filed a report on it using the object picker several times, but I thought I would document it here too, just in case.

yeah, this bug sucks, and there's no real way to quickly recreate it to show a linden. I dunno what to do about it

From: someone Originally posted by Dave Zeeman yeah, this bug sucks, and there's no real way to quickly recreate it to show a linden. I dunno what to do about it Oh but there is a way, and it's sitting in a sim right now. Several of them in fact. I'll post the location in a little bit so you can all visit it and marvel at these particular objects' staying power! And thank you Hunter for letting me know it is being looked into. Feedback from the Lindens means everything.

Head your happy little self over to Freelon 241,80. There you will find three planter boxes, a Corbusier Chair, a table, and an oval prim, all of which I discovered back on last Friday. The middle planter was at 3% on Friday. Today, it has finally reached the 99% and holding, like the other 5 objects.
I've reported it several times from the IW bug report mechanism, as well as now detailing it here. Ok, Lindens. Go get it!

I hate that, I hate that, I hate that. I have been trying to clean up those same pieces for DAYS Zan. <grins> Here I thought it was just being REALLY slow for a reason.. didn't know there was a bug related.
I guess it's nice that we're at least able to clean things up now -- sim performance has been up all over the place as a result, and Natoma.. my GOD. I can actually walk there without lagging!

Well at least we all know it's not just us not figuring out what button to press! Such a rotten bug to have too. I hope they fix that one soon. Some of us WANT to clean up our world!
