backup inventory

My question is and most others would want the same answer, is any of the backup software that is selling on the internet that allows you to back up your inventory to hard disk legal and allowed by Lindens? I see there are two types circulating one which copies everything and the other only items which you have full perms, am only interested in my own items which I created.
any info on this subject would very very usefull

I wouldn't buy anything to back up. A lot of the free viewers allow you to back up your own items. Emerald and Meerkat come to mind.
