Fashion Show

So it appears that there is an abundance of clothing in SL, but that also holds true in real life. However there are designer name brand cloths that people buy because its the thing to do. What I am wondering is if they same thing could be pulled off in SL. As it is now I dont see any events specifcly amied at just selling luxury clothing as an event. This is why I have come up with the idea to do a fasion show. Were designer pay to have their finest works put on the models hired by me or my company. Then people could come and view these special pieces and buy them. Everyone wants to have a certain look in SL, and some people like feeling like they are distinguished from others.

We all know Guchi, Armani, Hilfiger in real life, but I do not know of any "Name Brand" Cloths in SL.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on this, if its porfitable, fesable, or pointless.
(I know nothing is profitable at the start, but I wouldnt stop working on this if I tried.)

There are several agencies/production companies that do fashion shows on a regular basis. There are two shows coming up in the next couple of weeks that you may consider attending to get an idea on how they are done, the venues....etc.

There is usually an are where the fashions from the show can be purchased.

Are they are profitable? I cannot answer that. You'd have to speak to someone who is involved with the production.
