Hi there! I've seen quite some vehicles in SL, and some of them are incredibly well done, and look very, very nice. Having a look at my own poor attempts at this, it gave me an idea for some kind of fun event... Pimp up my Ride. Every participant gets the same cruel-looking dumpster-ready wannabe of a vehicle, and they have 30 minutes to pimp it up in front of the audience. New textures, edit the existing prims, tweaking them, moving them.. but no removing or replacing them. no new prims are added, too, to keep it fiar, else people will come with prebuilt cars  just tweaking of what's there. Each prim of the car has a script that sends out a shout when it gets deleted or moved too far (in case anyone thinks about moving it to the sky), letting people know he probably tried to cheat the rule One could go a step further, putting in a bugged vehicle script, and people need to fix that, too, in the given time. I do not attend any events, unless I am drugged and dumped in the middle of one, but I would go to this one.. and actually look forward to it. You have to do this now or you will be crushing my dreams. |

Glad you like the idea I'm still just pondering it, and I never did any vehicles before, but I'll discuss it with a few friends and might get this thing going, really You'll hear more about it in this thread. Hmm.. well, I would have no prob with you doing it.. I live in europe, so the times when I could hold the event might not be the times when most US people are on.. and I am _bad_ at designing a boken down prototype of a car shabby enough to present for the purpose Ah, oh, yes, and I am a cat, and as such lazy like hell.
