I'm constructing a temporary field of remembrance (temporary because it will be moved later when I have a better location). I could do with help and advice on some things. I've asked the British Legion for a contact to help set up a donation box for their charity and need a scripter to liaise with them and me. I need good-quality full-face photos of the cenotaph for my build. I need advice on making the site available to others to leave significant objects. It would help me to know of anyone organising a similar site or related event. Any relevant advice I've forgotten to ask for is welcome - and if this is in the wrong forum please move it where it is appropriate.  The site is at Grindlewald (132,1  . |

Sorry if that sounded snippy - it does turn to "grow" very easily in one's memory.

Thank you Toni - received in-world. Excellent! We really should have a proper service on the day, though not necessarily at the proper time as I expect many people will be involved in other things. Any suggestions, anyone?

Dont they get the day off over there? November 11th is a national holiday in Canada. It's your call of course but I would think a ceremony at 11:11 on 11/11 is the way to go. Can't beat tradition in things like this. Needless to say I will give you any help you need Garnet although I cant think of anything other than volunteering to be photoshop slave on the project if you are not feeling up to it. |

Ooh Dianne, your time with Photoshop will come, thank you  I agree it should be on the 11th of the 11th but at a different time perhaps. I just feel there will be RL demands on people, with it being the 60th anniversary and all. We don't get the day off but everything stops for the 2 minutes' silence. |

Right. *smacks forehead* It foolishly did not occur to me that someone might be at a RL cenataph ceremony even if they *did* have the day off, being as I hardly ever leave the house myself.  |

I have a really nice big photo of the Cenotaph that I'll pass to you. I know someone who could perhaps provide a poppy fall. I'm just wondering now whether there's someone who could make uniforms for each of the services for those who want to represent themselves or loved ones. An ad in the Classifieds I think |
