Event Idea,even business idea, THAT WOULD BE FUN!!!

ive looked. this is shameful but theres absolultely no comedy clubs in sl. come on . we all love to laugh. you know we would sit thru some funny acts lol.. maybe just comedy hour for event. have shows etc. like broadway.. would be totally awesome. would be fun for me and my family to go do something more thanthe norm

Just buy a small bit of land and build you a club and have an event HAHA Or if ya wanna do it the cheap way LOL Talk to club owners and see if you can rent out the space for the evening, line up some local SL talent and advertise. You can make your money back plus some I would pay to go see it... I love comedy....

I would gladly have a comedy night at Club Europe, I have the space and the stage. Talk to me. You arrange it, I will lay on the venue for you.

I do recall a Club Cotton (?), a comedy club on Faded Reality awhile back.

I've thought this a great idea as well, but as cued into by other Resis, it can be hard to deliver timing through a written joke. It might be more effective to copy-'n'-paste too.

But as it stands, there's a lot of very hilarious improv and quotes in people's Profiles that ARE funny. There is LOTS of humor in SL!

I'm just not so sure how it'd carry out as a "planned event". I've been to poetry readings inworld, and part of the awkwardness was I wanted to admire the whole poem but the old lines faded, so I set the time to decay to be greater, but then they covered up too much of the screen, and by then the essence was lost.

Now, delivered oral comedy through a radio station... that is a related but different matter.

You are right about the impact being lost, so yes, via radio, that would work....
