I'd like to know if anyone (Linden or otherwise) can be more specific about how one goes about throwing an event on Linden Land Hangouts? I've searched the Forums and the Event Reg info on the main SL site and can't locate any more details, such as...
How much notification is needed?
What rights will I have as host for the duration of the event? Can I ban or eject (the obnoxious)? Set land to No Push?
Prim limits?
Can others be allowed to create objects?
Can script driven objects be alllowed? such as INV givers and TP's
Can I designate a backup host (in case of log-in issues)?
Event Duration limits?
Is it possible to set up a music stream for the interim?
Which Hangouts are available? It's not clear when I Searched Parcels for "Linden" and "Hangouts" for example...
The event I'd like to throw is a virtual dice-based game requiring people to have the ability to create objects on the land (with a limit of approx 24 prims per person). I'd need a minimum playable area of 1024 and a basic prim count for game object setup of around 50 prims (or less), so probably a larger area/prim resource is actually needed if the players are rezzing objects. It's basically a building game, although it involves non-scripted combat.
Would a Linden Hangout allow me to do this?
The event is based off one of the RL old Play-doh Monster games.

It's no charge and can be played in a PG friendly manner. I think this is something a little different from the usual run of events and encourages player creativity while working around some our built in AI scripting limitations in SL (by ignoring them completely, lol). It's all about the Natural Intelligence! I like to think of it as a First Person Builder game.

P.S. If anyone has some land I could use for this please comment or IM me in-world.
It would be nice to call attention to some areas of SL of neglected interest. I'm thinking of Skyboxing the Event (with a ground TP) so it doesn't interfere with current land builds and reduces player lag. Or if someone has an Arena pre built that might work too...
P.S. 2- I've built out most of what the game needs. I'd like some (3-4) Beta testers to help work out any bugs tonight or tomorrow, since I'm trying to translate the game into an SL friendly version. Tester should know how to rez, transform and link basic objects. No scripting knowledge is required, since the game doesn't involve any scripting at all. If you're interested, IM or post here as well.

thanks in advance,
Dante Moreau
