Controlling access to events

Does anyone know an effective way of automatically controlling access to land. I want to limit the number of people on my land at any one time, so I want to set up a system where people are allowed access for a few hours and then kicked out, so the next person can be allowed in.

I'd like to learn more about the possibilities here, too.

Extending the question slightly, has a protocol been developed to allow someone access only after they pay a small fee? This would work like a parking meter, or a theater ticket, allowing the person to remain in the controlled space for X hours and then be automatically offered the chance to put more money in the meter or be kicked out.

This is about 180 degrees from the present situation where venues actually *pay* people to hang out.. It contemplates a venue that people would find attractive enough to pay to attend. Amusement parks come to mind, and cover charges at FL nightclubs.

Another variation would be a "white list" ... analogous to the list a doorman/security guard keeps at the entrance. If you are "on the list," you can get in, but not otherwise. Good for invitation only events or venues.

I have been selling my Ticket Please Access system for some time with proven technology that allows you to sell timed tickets for events from the size of a broom closet to an entire sim. Timed tickets are configurable from minutes to days and employ self destructive technology should the owner attempt to transfer them. The networks for larger sims are also set on individiual secure keys..so no one area can access other sims with similar systems.

This was developed for the Sim Horror sim in October of 2004 and is proven effective.

The owner can charge money based on time ..or simply charge nothing..totally configureable. The protection is set based on simple parameters with menu control.

The vendors are secure and fully encrypted. Also the vendors can be configured to keep accounting for split profits.
