hello,
ive just build my club ( chill out lounge ) playing relaxed music in a nice vibe with photos and plenty of loungers etc including a vip area.
id like some advice on how to basically promote the club with an event.
i'm not interested in camping chairs etc just in getting people down here and enjoying themselves.
I'm not out to make money.
i understand that money talks and well giving money away in an event is a pretty good idea to get people to come.
I'm just clueless on how to go about it.
Should i have a raffle or just give out money at random ..
what themese work best for events ?
What do you the people want to goto ?
Thanks for your time and suggestions in advance.
the club is called CactusWrap located in Dagger.

Hello ,
I'm not sure if there is just apathy or maybe you all see people like me come and go on a monthly basis!
I'm going to have my FIRST event this Saturday.
I've expanded my chillout club to another plot and I've set up dance balls for singles as well as couples and a foo ball also.
I've two dance floors and plenty of seating as well as a VIP area.
What I was hoping to do was to have a random object ball I've seen these in about 2-3 locations where clothes are given out as prizes.
does anyone know where I can get one ?
I think they are much better than the same 'ol random raffle balls etc.
I'm going to " possibly " DJ at my event and I will be giving out some Linden to the most " chilled ".
If anyone has any suggestions on holding an event your input is most welcome!!!

Darn, I wish I'd known there were people like you around when I was opening my gallery! Perhaps it's time for a (third!) relocation and opening party ;D
JK, but bless your socks and those of all the other lovely folk of SL.

Double post to add that my partner knocks together scripts and scripted objects for folks (and generally far more reasonably than any stores I've seen selling 'em - though this is obviously an assumption on my part because it's not like I've spent my whole second life doing research on the matter..!).
When I mentioned your random object ball to him he said he'd be happy to help. PM Dave Talamasca or find him at Hillside Scripting, Riiki (239, 92, 43). He's made similar things for other folk including money balls, and he won't rip you off, else I'll kick him.
No really, I will.

Hi good luck on your club, my advice is hang in there the beginning till word of mouth gets going will be spotty on attendance but if you stick to it eventually you should build a nice crowd. Dominus Designs makes a Treasure Trivia Chest that allows you to give objects and or money depending on number of questions answered. This allows you both to give some things away but have people participating in an event and helps gets conversation going. It can run on its own or be run as an event. I have had alot of good feedback on this when I run it for events. /invalid_link.html

THankyou to everyone who helped me set up this first event - It went down very well I thought and 18 people took part which I thought was a pretty good turnout for my first event. Things have changed since my last post. I've now took down the club and moved it to a brandnew location featuring more room and a waterfront location. I'm hoping to have an event tomorrow abut 4pm game time ( to be published yet due to sim offline ) If anyone has any gifts they would like to promote Id be happy to give them away to visitors. For details on the new location and pictures etc plz check the club website at www.cactuswrap.org.uk
