Well, it's a good idea in theory..... but it's not going to be all that interesting....
mainly for this fact: anyone that can devote 8 hours a day for a month for a chance to win a $1250 prize isn't going to be someone fascinating enough to want to watch whatsoever.... I wouldn't want to watch a bunch of dorks with no lives in a room. _____________________

"The winner will receive a virtual island within Second Life, worth about US$1,675."
Ok, so... 8 hours x 30 days = 240 hours 240 hours / $1,675.00 = $6.98 per hour U.S. federal minimum wage = $5.15 per hour I agree with Doubledown for the most part. I can't imagine that the participants will be varied or interesting enough to make this work. The reward just isn't big enough to attract anyone other than the standard minimum wage / high school crowd. |

A prize of $1,675 in the form of a private island...
... which will cost $3540 (more than twice the cost of the prize in the first place) in tier for the year. I still don't see how the BB concept can work in SL - especially if the voting is done in-world when you realise how easy it is to make 1000 free accounts to vote for yourself to stay in anyway. I wouldn't want to watch a bunch of dorks with no lives in a room. but then millions worldwide do exactly that every night: big brother, x factor, celebrity come dancing, (insert countries) next super model, im a celebrity get me out of here etc etc etc so you may not want to but the facts say that millions do i dont like tabloids but millions get sold every day.. etc etc ![]() _____________________

This whole SL BB idea is half-baked. but at least they're giving it a try.
The one reality show they should attempt in SL is "The Mole" that show was kickass, and could work in SL _____________________

yep, still have the house key. I think they were a tad premature, not having worked all the logistics out to run the game in sl. Keep in mind it was just a few peoples idea and not the real BB which might have the chops to pull it off.

So far, they're doing a horrible job of promoting it.
Why would the people involved post ANYTHING about where it is or how to get there? I can not find one single thing that tells me where it is _____________________

Ok, i made it there.. it's actually more entertaining than i thought.
They picked some good people. It'll be fun having lots of people getting involved in the popularity contest and campaigning and all. I could see that in a bit of time, these contestants will get more and more fans. _____________________
