VOTE on SL Issue MISC-378 - The Ability to Keep our Stream Links PRIVATE!

PLEASE vote on this issue so we may keep our streams private.
https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-378

The "View Administration Options" (in 'client' dropdown menu) allows anyone access to view the audio stream link and the video stream link selected to stream into the land. Only the individual or group that has access to that parcel should have access to view the audio stream link and video stream link.

https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-378

There are multiple reasons as to why we need this to happen immediately. Due to the nasty climate of the conditions arising with internet radio and broadcasting over the net, it is in the best interest of any streamer or stream provider to have the ability to keep their stream links private and unpublished.
Please take a few seconds and vote: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-378

Please repost this on Second Life related blogs, forums, and news groups.

Umm, I hate to be the one to break this to you but as long as someone has the ability to listen to your stream they have the ability to use simple non-SL networking utilities like netstat to determine which server and port the stream is using which in the case of audio is usually enough to bypass SL completely and directly connect to it with Winamp or some other media player. Indeed I usually do this because streams sound much better in Winamp than in SL. By all means secure the client, just don't think it'll stop anyone with a modicum of know-how from getting the server info if they want it.
