Where to Locate this Project?

I'm building The First Shift Project which will be a resource center for working women with links to articles about women and work, profiles, etc. Also will be a gathering place for discussions and for contests such as "come dressed in the worst work uniform you ever wore" contests, etc. Mostly a quiet, educational space. I think 1024 or maybe 2048 space would be plenty. Right now I've started it in Pomponio just below the volcano.

Anyone know a better spot? Near other educational/gathering/non-club type places? I'm pretty new to SL and don't really know the feel of various areas. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

This isn't a location as such but speak to Pie Psaltery about maybe putting a landmark giver in Sappho's Garden, the Lesbian community centre.

You can get very inexpensive land in Pickerel from our homesteading, it is flat and good for building, maybe 350 from telehub, it's PG but your project seems to be PG already. There will be two residential communities there with a non-denominational church and community center with scripting libraries etc and there is also a Canadian community nearby and the Midge zoned community so your project would likely "fit". You can fit a 1024 almost anywhere though so you should decide if you need mature or near telehub or what, I could suggest other locations.

Thanks to Prokofy for helping me locate the project and for supporting it with his donation. Great guy. I'm building First Shift in Pickerel.

Thanks for the pointer to Pie, too!
