Many and I mean many of the clubs you guys run need to have the dance balls set to their correct height. It seems dance balls are just dragged out unto the dance floors and that's it. Seems they're not considered important. People get on them and they're ankles or more deep into the floors.
I always have and bring my own as many other people do to avoid this. The thing is in some clubs you can't drag out a script of any kind thus compelling you to use these other balls.
The E--- is one spot that badly needs a dance ball revamp as well as many other clubs. Balls here are terrible and not everyone wants to hit the big sign on the wall to dance in a conga line.

Well, the problem isn't so much the position of the dance balls per-say, the core issue is that no animation can be made 100% to fit 100% of all avatars in SL. The animations/poses are based off of the hip offset of the avatar and that can vary wildly depending on the adjustments made to the avatar. At the current time, SL does not have the ability to scale an animation or pose to match an avatar's settings. Many of the clubs have the dance balls placed based upon the most common avatar height found, the one(s) that are default. This problem is also compounded by the hip offset, if an animation has the hip just slightly offset up, your avatar will appear to be floating just above the ground. Hope this helps

Yes. And its better to appear to float a little off the floor than have your feet sink below the surface...
