I've been hosting Show and Tells every Sunday 2 PM at my place since about 2 years, with smaller or bigger pauses.

It's always better if more people come, because the more people come, show their stuff, or just view and vote, makes the event more fun. I get between 10-20 ppl usually, but last weekend I got 30 ppl!

Wow! First of all, that's cool! (And thanks to everyone for coming!)
The show went fine, the ppl. enjoyed it, and so did I! But I wonder how bigger it can grow...

30 ppl audience + 1 host + 3 neighbours in the sim = 34 people. I know that a 'normal', mainland sim can only hold about 40 ppl.. so we're kinda approaching the limit. I have no idea what will happen then... And I hope that since I crash about 2 times per event, I'll be able to get back to host :-)

But seriously... what are the options? I'm funding this all from my money -- and the prizes mainly from donors - thanks!

The land already costs me about 25 USD/month, but that's okay, because I have other stuff on the land too, my shop, and I kinda get some cross-financing from my shop. Of course, I also use the fact that my shop is in visible distance from the event place, though... I don't propagate my shop or products on the event. I don't do it for that.

But I possibly wouldn't be able to afford to pay +25 USD/month, and it would be meaningless, too... So here I am, thinking... Any ideas? :)

(PS: And I don't currently receive FFRC funding because I would rather NOT display the rotating banner thing, because IMHO it looks too ugly and out of place, because of the diverse, not harmonizing banners.)

Same thought thousands of residents are thinking as well...

... It is becoming obvious that if LL will not support residents bringing something new into the world.. then there's no point wasting money for land.

It is becoming obvious that land is only if you wanna have your own build... it is not cost effective... and there's really no point to owning land anymore if you want to have events...

Tons and tons of residents are simply getting rid of their land, becoming free members, and then holding their events.

LL is gonna be screwed when the majority starts getting rid of their land.
