Any user thats been in SL for awhile knows that there's been many issues with people posting spammy events when they should be in the classifieds. We've all seen the endless yard sale event posts... we've seen the posts that are misleading with a contest or event, and then it's just some TP to advertisements or malls...

And over time, we've all come to the conclusion that an event post comes down to these simple rules:
1) A host or facilitator must be present for the event
2) No repeat posts for the same event
3) If you're trying to sell something, or promote something, it should be in 'commercial' not in 'live music' or 'nightlife/entertainment'

Well... I've started to notice the biiig RL corporations not following the protocol us residents have adhered to.

I don't really have much else to say except that any corporation that comes into secondlife and either doesn't follow community standards or the company pays residents to spend their time spamming..... they will never see me visit their land. They will never get my RL business again in fact. I plan to abuse report those event posts, and I encourage you all too also. RL companies are trickling in, and they'll be swarming in soon.... I think we need to keep a standard that cannot be overlooked by corporations, companies, or individuals that think they have enough money that they don't need to spend the time to learn how to do things proper.
