Any interest in Ethics Discussions?

I haven't been on SL that long but I've noticed that there aren't many Discussion Events being held. So, I was thinking of starting up some discussions of philosophy, particularly ethics.

A few questions:

1- Would there be interest in more philosophy discussion events, or do you think there are already enough being held?

2- Do you think there's adequate interest in the specific area of Ethics?

3- What time would be the best time to catch everyone interested in attending? 1:00 PM SLT? 4:00 PM SLT?

4- For this kind of event, do you think people prefer more guided or more free-form discussion? I was leaning toward something fairly organic with everyone sharing ideas, but I would probably inject some Socratic questioning in there as is my tendency.

I would love to hear if you think this is a good or bad idea, so any comments, suggestions or words of advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

I held a writing circle for a while. We found that IM-style chat was a poor medium for complex discourse. You may wanna look up the "Thinkers Circle" or some group like that. They have held philosophicish discussions I think.

Thanks for the suggestions, Introvert! I'll try keeping conversation focused to a specific dilemma and see how it works in the chat.

For anyone interested, the first Ethics Round Table will be held today at 4 pm SLT.
