I think either I'm misunderstanding the use of this forum or everyone else is. It seems like there is a whole section of classified forums, including "Special Events", which is where advertisments for upcoming events should be placed. This room is probably meant more to discuss techniques for hosting events, the best locations, how to get people to show up, where to get picture boards, etc.
