In fact I'm having an event at 6 p.m. tonight for New Continent Pioneers in Burns just to discuss this very issue of how to promote more visits, activity, business, dwell, etc. in the New Continent.
I think if you provide people a personal TP it can help. The real question is whether this LL railroad is going to come into being, or whether there will be more telehubs. _____________________

I went to Primtionary the other day up there somewhere and it was a long flight. But, I wanted to go to the event, so it didnt really matter to me. I think its more of a "build it and they will come" sort of deal. If the event is worth going to for the participant, they will get there.

I don't find it any big deal to spend a couple of minutes going somewhere. If I would skip an event because it might take as long as a whole five minutes to get there, either I'd have been really borderline about attending it in the first place, or maybe it'd be a sign that I was having a low-motivation kinda lazyass day. In general, I love any excuse to go to the northern continent, or to use one of my vehicles. I'd like it if there were a continent hours away -- or even days away. Woohoo, expedition . . . saddle up the huskies and pack the CDs!

I don't see what's so different about the new continent where it makes a difference if an event is held there or not. Last I looked there were TP hubs on it. While there are some areas that are far from a TP hub, there are also some areas in the rest of SL that are also far from a TP hub.
