Hi!

I hold my events every Sunday, at a fixed time, a Show and Tell. Lately, I've been having problems, which seemed to get worse and worse with time, to the point I must think if I might want to stop/suspend holding events.

First of all, lag and stuff... okay, this might be sim load and script specific.
Then, the texture loading issues. How to hold a show and tell, when someone presents an item, but everyone just sees grey tiles for a minute or even more? :(
From 3-4 weeks ago, continously, there's a bug that if you upload a screenshot, THEN touch any active object, the client will crash, and you have to relogin, which takes about a minute. What fun way to hold an event :(

Now, it's packet loss, instability, lost objects, and so on and so on...

I'm almost at the point where I will just have to stop my events, because simply, I will be just unable to host them.

I don't do it for money, I do it for fun, but it's getting less and less fun with all these obstacles, even if ppl like it :(

Yep, avatar gatherings have been placed on the endangered list. The degrading performance, coupled with new top heavy, resource intensive additions have upped the ante for the minimum system requirements to attend a mass gathering, apparently above the average performance level of SL residents machines.

People can only take so much frustration, lagging and crashing before they will naturally adapt and find something else to do in less social surroundings.
