Last year, my noob-ish self hosted a Punkin Chunkin contest in Rizal.
Basicly, that means contestants are given a few weeks to build and scipt a wacky contraption that will propell a plump pumpkin percariously across sims in a contest to conclude the champion chunker. There were only two contestants at the first event but it was well attended by spectators and could safely be called a hit.
It would be a shame if I couldn't run this event again.

I'd almost certianly revise the rules from last year's event, but there would probably be two catitories. One catigory would be for SL-standard guns and cannons (i.e. devices using llRezObject at x velocity) and the other for physics-powered chunkers (catapaults, trebuchets, pistons and "other". Judging of the categories would be based both on style (creativity and quality of the build) and chunking ability (last years contest featured both a distance chunk and a chunk for accuracy in hitting a target on the ground.) Since it's trivial to ramp the velocity of a rezed object up to infinity, style and theatrics count much more in the gun category than chunkability would. (There will probably be a cap imposed on distance as well this time: else we loose more pumpkins at sim borders that way.)
The event would probably be held on October 30 but require contestants to submit their names to me in advance. Individuals or teams could compete.
Anyone who would definately want to do this?
