We're starting up a 24hr Linden owned Club to serve as Video Linden's new home at Hera (202, 210) for the next few weeks. It will carry the live secondlife.com feed whenever Video is not off covering an event. If you like to help build out the space, provide music, or design etc. please let me know. We're open to ideas and suggestions on how to make it a fun place for all in SL.

I'd love to help here. SL needs to look attractive as well as "happenin', as well as documenting realtime what's possible. I may forsake the WA to hang at this place.

I might be interested in helping out with this, if you would like to see what ive done so far come check out my club (yeah its almost a shameless plug but I do feel some shame) at Pando 41,127.
Unfortunatly I can not post pics because of some the design aspects are mature. But feel free to take a look around and if you can think of some way you could use me to help build videos place let me know.
EDIT: I turned off lazy mode and censored the minor stuff that was in the screen shots so you dont have to travel without having a basic idea.

So the very first impression you'd like everyone to have of Second Life from the front of the website is a club?
Wassup? Too many signups? Trying to kerb the tide without having to actually close the doors to new users?

I would like to see something like the Varnish build in Waterhead. It is light and friendly feeling. It is welcoming. A bright place will also be better for filming.
If you must, you could have a darker dance floor room in the basement or something. Maybe have a few themed rooms to roam around in to keep things interesting.
One very important thing to remember, ultimately it is the people that make a place fun, not the build itself. With the right staff and fun patrons, you could build a giant untextured cube and see it on the most popular places list.

I hung out with Jesse inworld yesterday. Actually, the Varnish building WAS the building in question. However, the intersection of the building on four sim borders turned out to be rather vicious. We enjoyed a lot of falling-through-the-floor and getting trapped in the foundation. After speculcation, he moved to his own plot and began setting up there with a build he already had on the site, it's on the east side of the new continent... and send me an LM to distribute to anyone interested. I'll drop it on y'all if he doesn't by noonhour. (I'm stuck at work for the moment) The building he has is a bit small but once the furniture was moved around it could work. Who knows, others will probably have better ideas than mine. just IM Psyra Extraordinaire or reply here if you want a LM to his chosen lot. I'll reply here with coords where when I get home for lunch and can fetch the LM coords.

Okie. The plot Jesse had in mind is
Hera (64, 192)
Sorry for the delay, but had to actually get to a computer that could play SL to find out what the landmark was. ;D

There's a nice beach outside the house. Far better for a live feed. Fun, sun, and so on.
